Weekend music picks: Holiday shows for the naughty and nice; Help for Haiti

Friday: Flavorsound Holiday Revue at Cheer Up Charlie’s. Prefer your festive revelry with an indie punk or garage rock vibe? Along with sets from underground faves like Shivery Shakes and Big Bill, this party promises milk and cookies, a kazoo carol-along and possibly a visit from a presumably boozy version of the man in red. Saturday: Haiti Relief Concert at Barracuda. Continental Drift, a 10-piece instrumental ensemble that blends elements of jazz and Latin sounds into sprawling Afrobeat jams, launches a new social good concert series with a hurricane relief benefit for Haiti. Psychedelic cumbia outfit Money Chicha headlines, with high-energy salsa/cumbia/reggae outfit El Tule and Nigerian artist Kalu James’ Electric Joint also performing. Ghislaine Mahone, a.k.a. Qi Dada from Riders Against the Storm, will lead a Haitian dance troupe and give a presentation about Haiti, and Thai Fresh will serve food on site. Proceeds benefit Intervol, a nonprofit organization that delivers medical supplies and helps coordinate volunteer efforts in disaster areas. $10-$25. 6:30 p.m. 611 E.
