After selling out two nights at ACL Live last year, Americana sensation Jason Isbell is upping the ante this summer. He and his band, the 400 Unit, will play three straight nights at the marquee downtown venue July 14-16.

The Friday-Sunday stretch was announced today as part of a five-week U.S. tour. North Carolina indie-rock band Mountain Goats will open the first night. Isbell’s wife, singer-songwriter and fiddler Amanda Shires, will open the second and third shows.

Tickets, $39.50-$49.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, via the ACL Live website.

Isbell’s last album, 2015’s “Something More Than Free,” topped the Billboard rock, country and folk charts simultaneously on the week of its release. His next album, recorded in Nashville with red-hot producer Dave Cobb (who also handled the last one), is tentatively scheduled to be out this spring or summer.
