SXSW 2017: Solange, Migos, Rae Sremmrud to play YouTube showcases

YouTube just announced the lineup for their South by Southwest shows and they pulled some heavy hitting urban headliners. R&B sensation Solange, the artist no longer referred to as “Beyoncé’s little sister” is set to headline the official showcases at the Coppertank on Wednesday, March 15. Solange, whose beautiful album “A Seat at the Table” was one of 2016’s best, will present artists from her Saint Heron label at the showcase. The next day features the Ear Drummers’ present the Sremmlife crew followed by a Friday night party with Atlanta trio Migos, whose “Culture” is one of the most important hip-hop albums of the year so far.

Classic man, Jidenna, Lil Yachty and Kodie Shane are also so on the bills for the YouTube showcases. The showcases are badge/wristband only, but YouTube will also be broadcasting the Sirius XM hip-hop news show “Sway in the Morning” on Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The broadcasts will be open to the public.
