KUTX launches fall series of family-friendly concerts at Mueller

After a successful run of free family-friendly concerts in the spring, public radio station KUTX 98.9 FM returns to Mueller Lake Park Amphitheater for a series of monthly shows. The events are curated by the station’s live music producer Deirdre Gott and Bill Childs, host of the Sunday evening kids music show ‘Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child.’

The shows feature a kid-friendly opener paired with a grown up act suitable for fans of all ages. The kick off is at 7 p.m.  Sept. 22 with rapper/singer-songwriter Saul Paul followed by a set from folk-pop artist Sarah Jaffe.

On October 27, Kupira Marimba gets the party started before Brownout takes the stage. The series will close on Nov. 17 with a set from kid funk duo Sugar Free All-stars followed by a surprise special guest who will be announced in November. More info.
