More ‘Austin City Limits’ tapings: LCD Soundsystem, Chris Stapleton, Run the Jewels, Shinyribs

LCD Soundsystem makes its “Austin City Limits” TV debut with a Nov. 1 taping. JAY JANNER / AMERICAN-STATESMAN 2016

“Austin City Limits” has announced four more tapings for this fall, and they’re all over the map stylistically, as well as all being new to the long-running television program: rap group Run the Jewels on Oct. 14, country singer Chris Stapleton on Oct. 23, local heroes Shinyribs on Oct. 29, and electronic rockers LCD Soundsystem on Nov. 1.

All shows are at ACL Live. Tickets for each taping will be given out by email lottery via the ACL website about a week before each taping. Keep an eye on the program’s Facebook and Twitter pages for notices about ticket giveaways.

The events flesh out a fall schedule that also includes a previously announced Oct. 12 taping with jazz legend Herbie Hancock.

Also in the mix this fall is the fourth annual Austin City Limits Hall of Fame induction ceremony, honoring the Neville Brothers, Rosanne Cash and Roy Orbison. Host Chris Isaak leads a smorgasbord of talent paying tribute to them, including Raul Malo, Ry Cooder, Neko Case, Brandi Carlile and Trombone Shorty. Unlike other tapings, that show is a ticket-purchase event ($50-$300).
