All ATX to host ‘Back to the Armadillo’ with John Fogerty, Shakey Graves at Auditorium Shores

For the last several years, All ATX, a nonprofit that dubs itself “Austin’s Music Advocate,” has hosted a big fall fundraising event for the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), the SIMS foundation and the Austin Music Foundation at ACL Live. Last year, the organizers say, they raised $500,000 for the charities.

Jay Janner/American-Statesman – John Fogerty performs with the Sound City Players at Stubb’s at SXSW on Thursday March 14, 2013.

This year the All ATX crew has teamed with local events production juggernaut, C3 Presents to move the event to Auditorium Shores with a huge concert on Sunday, October 29. Legacy rocker John Fogerty will headline the event, and it will also include performances from Shakey Graves and Jack Ingram.

The event is billed as “Back to the Armadillo,” and it will celebrate the music of the Armadillo World Headquarters with special performances from the “AWH All Stars,” Michael Martin Murphey, Gary P. Nunn and more.  Each local artist will perform their take on songs by artists who performed at the legendary Austin venue. A studio album of the songs will be available for purchase at Auditorium Shores on the night of the concert and at Waterloo Records starting October 29.

The evening will also include short sets from Kelly Willis, Fastball, My Jerusalem, Beto & the Fairlanes, the Peterson Brothers and more.
Tickets will go on sale Thursday, September 21 at 10am CT via
