Bob Seger’s scheduled Oct. 24 show at the Erwin Center has been postponed while he addresses an “urgent medical issue” with his back, the singer announced Tuesday.

Seger had played 13 dates of his national Runaway Train Tour when he was unable to perform Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. All 18 remaining dates now have been postponed.

Per Seger’s statement, “Rescheduled dates will be announced when available. Tickets sold for concerts that are being rescheduled will be honored at the new dates.”

The statement cited “doctor’s orders to attend to an urgent medical issue concerning his vertebrae” as the reason. “I’m so disappointed to have to suspend the tour as the band is on a great roll,” Seger said. “It’s a privilege to play for our amazing fans. Hoping to be back out on the road very soon.”
