Rock band Queens of the Stone Age have added an April 24 show at the Austin360 Amphitheater to their 2018 tour promoting their new Mark Ronson-produced album “Villains,” which came out in August on Matador Records.

It’s the band’s first show in Austin since the 2013 Austin City Limits Music Festival, and its first headlining show here since 2011. Tickets, $29.50-$75, go on sale Nov. 17 at 4 a.m. (yes, that time is correct, according to the venue’s website).

The band also taped an episode of the “Austin City Limits” TV show when they played at ACL Fest in 2013. Here’s an excerpt from Statesman writer Joe Gross’s review of the taping:

“The quintet — leader Josh Homme, guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, guitarist/keyboardish Dean Fertita, bassist Michael Shuman and newly minted drummer Jon Theodore (ex-Mars Volta) — cranked though a rock solid hour and a half of maximalist music, reaching back to their 2002 breakout album “Songs for the Deaf” and playing a large amount of material from this year’s “…Like Clockwork.”
