The Randy Rogers Band, Gary Allan, Reckless Kelly and many more regional country-rock acts will once again gather on Memorial Day weekend for the Lone Star Jam, which moves to the grounds of Rodeo Austin this year.
The annual two-day festival, previously held at Waterloo Park and then on the LBJ Library grounds before moving east a couple of years ago, was at the Travis County Expo Center last year but will use the actual Rodeo Austin grounds this year to allow for “better parking access, more parking, nicer grounds, and access to permanent, indoor, air conditioned restrooms for VIP purchasers,” Lone Star Jam organizer Kevin Ream said via email. Shaded tent areas will double from last year’s 7,200 square feet to 14,400 square feet.
The lineup on Saturday, May 26, features Gary Allan, Reckless Kelly, Stoney LaRue, Roger Creager, Flatland Cavalry, Dalton Domino, Kody West, Randall King, Drugstore Gypsies and one act still to be named. Sunday, May 27, will feature Randy Rogers Band, Casey Donahew, William Clark Green, Parker McCollum, Kyle Park, Mike & the Moonpies, Read Southall, Grant Gilbert and two TBA acts.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, via the Lone Star Jam website. Two-day tickets are $70, or $300 VIP. Proceeds benefit Young Texans Against Cancer.
