On the track again: Willie’s Picnic will be back at Circuit of the Americas in July

It seems Willie likes it here. For the fourth straight year, Willie Nelson is keeping his iconic Fourth of July Picnic on home turf, extending its run at Circuit of the Americas to four years with a show that will include Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price, the Head and the Heart and many more.

Also on the bill are Ryan Bingham, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, Jamestown Revival and Wild Feathers. Longtime picnic regulars Asleep at the Wheel, Johnny Bush, David Allan Coe, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Billy Joe Shaver also will return, as well as four acts from the Nelson family tree: Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Particle Kid (with Micah Nelson), Folk Uke (with Amy Nelson) and the Raelyn Nelson Band.

As with the past three years, afternoon performances will begin on a smaller stage in the Grand Plaza before headlining acts play on the main stage in the Austin360 Amphitheater. Parking lots will open at 10 a.m. (standard parking is included with ticket price), with gates to the venue opening at 11 a.m. Last year, music began on the Plaza Stage around noon.
