With a lineup that features everything from hip-hop to indie-rock to singer-songwriters to cool DJs to a children’s choir, the 41st annual spring Pecan Street Festival might be Austin’s most diverse showcase for local musicians.
Primarily an event for arts and crafts vendors stretching several blocks east of Congress along Sixth Street, the May 5-6 fest also includes performances by dozens of local acts on three stages across two days. This year’s highlights include Melat, Zeale, Star Parks, Chulita Vinyl Club, Jane Ellen Bryant, Terminal Mind, Cilantro Boombox, Fort Never and the Austin Children’s Choir.
