UPDATE: Cold War Kids replaced Glass Animals on the bill after the British indie band’s drummer suffered a serious injury.
Tame Impala, Snoop Dogg, Bassnectar, Run the Jewels, Glass Animals and Modest Mouse are among nearly two dozen acts set for Float Fest, taking place July 21-22 along the San Marcos River just east of San Marcos.
The festival, which pairs modern music with river activities and outdoor camping, also will feature a handful of area bands, including A Giant Dog, White Denim, the Wild Now and Blackillac, the new collaboration between Austin hip-hop luminaries Phranchyze and Zeale plus blues great Gary Clark Jr.

Other draws include the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Lil Wayne, Bun B, the Toadies and Joywave. Tickets to the event, which features music on two stages and no overlapping acts, are $79 for one-day pass or $119 for the weekend, with separate charges for tubing, parking and RVs (and various VIP packages also available). They’re on sale now via the festival’s website.
